Cary Wrestling finishes 2nd at Bone Yard Bash

January 15, 2012
By David Maney II of Tri-Nine Conference

Fayetteville - All three of Cary's Wrestling seniors made the finals in the 20-team Jack Britt Boneyard Bash Saturday night @ Jack Britt!   Their strong tourneys in 20 man brackets made it possible for the Imps to come from behind to place second in the event behind Jack Britt HS.

Congrats to Adam Kugler for winning the tourney in convicing style as he won 17-4 in the semi-finals and pinned his opponent from Jack Britt in the finals!  Bo Mulligan lost to the returning state champ 6-1 in the finals and John Blackwell lost a tight match in the finals as well for a runner-up finish.

Other finishers for Cary were:  Mark Mulligan, Travis Bach-3rd, Alex Ynoquio, Corey Daniels 5th and Trent Wooten, and Ryan Foran were 6th.

Complete results can be found at trackwrestling.com under boneyard bash Jan. 13-14.
