Charles Henderson rebounds to take 4A title with doubleheader win over Ardmore

    Charles Henderson Coach Derek Irons said after game 1 "That we play high school baseball tomorrow." Well he knew what he was talking about because they came out and score 23 runs in 2 games to win 4 A State Championship in baseball. Charles Henderson wins back to back state Championship in baseball. Austin Ingram the MVP for the 4 A State Champions Charles Henderson pitch a 5 hitter in the 14 to 3 in game 3 of the series. Xavier Burden pitch game 2 and got the win to force a game 3. He allowed 7 hits and struck out 6 as the Torjans beat Ardmore Tigers 9 to 1 in game 2. 

    Game 3 The Tiger struck 1st with 2 runs in the top of the 1 st inning. Bottom half of the 1st Inning Trojans only got 1 run. Then in the 2nd Inning Trojans took comand of the game with 7 runs in the bottom of the 2nd Inning to lead 8 to 2. Austin Ingram had a 3 run homer in the 2nd Inning to ignite to Trojans Offense he also struck out 2 batters. To lead the Trojans to a 14 to 3 win against the Tigers of Ardmore. He also walk with base load to give him 4 Rbi's in game  3. John Johnson also help the Trojans with a single and 2 walks and score 3 runs one came off a call steal of home plate. Chase Smartt  had 2 singles 3 Rbi's and Jason Fleming had a single also and 2 walks and score 3 runs in game 3.   For Ardmore Kenneth Embrey had two hits, Cody Reed, Hayden Durrett and Garrett Miller each had an RBI single. Cody Elliott started and got the loss for Coach Andrew Smith’s Tigers (27-11).

      Game 2: Burden (8-1) walked just one as he kept the Ardmore hitters off-stride to get the win.  Charles Henderson collected nine hits but also took advantage of eight Tigers errors. Austin Ingram drove in two runs with a double, Hunter Baggett also had two hits, and Chase Smartt and Chase Hartley also had doubles for the Trojans.Hunter Moore led Ardmore with two hits and Tommy Davidson had a double. Garrett Miller (5-3) started and took the loss. He allowed five hits and seven runs in three innings but only two of the runs were earned. Brandon Jones pitched the final four innings, allowing four hits and two runs. Coach Irons said "It was about the Trojans today the 16 ball players he has. That he was proud how they came out and adverse the moment and handle it well."
