On there way to there First State Championship in School History. Madison coach Eric Cohu said " First off I would like to thank our fans, community and school for supporting us. We are also very proud to win this champioship for the City of Huntsville." He also sadi " we had a tough loss last year ( in the championship game) with an onside kick at the end of the game. This year, our team team showed tough resolve to fight and get back. We overcame a lot of personal tragedies and some extremly tough games and we are thankful to get the victory today and be state champions." " Fayette County is a Good team. I thought the key was our defense. We played some of the top rushing teams in the state, including a very good Lauderdale County team in the playoffs. We Challenged our defense to stop the run and they did- even when a team like Fayette present a different type of rushing attack that spreeds you out all over the field."  Keyron Johnson won the player of the game. Johnson said " My team needed me to score. When our defense gets stops like they were today, it is my time to step up. My job is easy when the line is opening up wide open holes for me to run through."  Congrats to both programs to making it to the Super 6 in Auburn.
