Home » General NewsMulti-Cultural Night is Sept. 6August 29, 2011 By Kyle Ticer of Treynor Community SchoolPeople of all ages are welcome to attend a "free” evening of cultural diversity. Treynor community along with residents from the surrounding area will come together Tuesday September 6th from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the Treynor Middle School. Entertainment will include singing, dancing, food and artifacts from around the world. The German American Club along with their choir will be in attendance. Other countries that will be represented include: Venezuela, Romania, Greece, ethnic dancers from UNO, and various international students from IWCC. The evening is funded through the Promise Partners / Pottawattamie County's Alliance for Youth// along with Junior Treynor Women and the Treynor Optimists. The goal of our event is to provide an opportunity for families to come together while learnig to appreciate diversity, and to promote peace in our community.
