Home » Golf NewsBoys Golf Team Wins Easily Over Mo ValleyApril 12, 2012 Treynor Community SchoolTreynor held their first home golf meet Monday, April 9. The Cardinals hosted Missouri Valley. The Treynor Varsity boys started their season off strong by eliminating Missouri Valley with a score of 159, while Missouri Valley boys shot a 213. Cole Chapin led the team with a great score of 36, and he was awarded the first place medal. Chris Zimmerman wasn’t far behind, medaling second in the meet, and he shot a 38. The other two scores were shot by Nick Carolus and Ryan Buckelew. Nick shot a 42, and Ryan shot a 43. The Treynor Girls stumbled a little bit taking a loss to the Missouri Valley Girls by 2 strokes: Treynor-208 Missouri Valley-206. For the Treynor girls, Gracie Meyers medaled second with a 42 and Ashley Bailey finished second on the team with a 51. Despite the girls loss, they continue to shoot well as a team. Lastly, the Treynor JV boys shot well as a team and finished shooting a 214 and defeating the Missouri Valley boys. They were led by Tyler Patterson and Jake Wright. Tyler Patterson shot a 47 and Jake Wright shot a 53. Overall the Treynor Golf teams have started off their spring seasons very strong.
