Lady spartans fall to GW in final regular season game

Everyone wants to win the last game of the regular season for lots of reasons , momentum going into the state tourney , outgoing seniors, positive for the program going forward . the lady spartans fell to the lady patriots in a tough DPl league game that would have gave them at least a tie for second place in the denver prep league , but hot shooting by Tyla Wilder and clutch freethrow shooting secured the 52-45 win for GW. Senior Cleora koepke had the best all around game for both teams scoring 21 points and 6rebounds and played relentless defense against a talented GW back court . The Lady Spartans players and staff now will sit back and hope that the recieve a bid to the state tourney, the selections for state will be held on Sunday February 24. at 2:00pm .
