Lady Spartans start BVI Tourney with a loss

December 5, 2012
By Damion Allen of Thomas Jefferson High School

After another loss and a 0-4  start the Lady Spartan coaching staff was tempted to load the bus up drive back to Thomas Jefferson and hold a practice on Tuesday evening . Fortunately the school was closed. The spartans were only down two points at the end of the 1st quarter , but a 21-6 second quarter left the lady spartans in a familiar place they have been three other times this year , playing catch up in the 2nd half .Lack of offensive execution and failed defensive assignments continues to plague the lady spartans . We are so close to putting a game together says head coach Damion allen , we are playing good parts of games , but have yet to put a complete game together both defensively and offensively. Despite the losses the ladies continue to work hard and are positive things will turn around in their favor soon. Both players and coaches hope that is this Thursday when they play their next game.
