2014 TRI TITANS FOOTBALL PREVIEW

No wins in three years can be demoralizing for a football program. Just ask the Tri Titans. From 2010 to 2012 the Titans failed to record a win.
2013 was different. Tri finished the season with a 3-7 record and got a massive monkey off of their back. Second year Head Coach C.J. Miller is looking to build on last year and has enough experience to make it happen.
One of the biggest challenges facing the Titans will be finding a way to make up for the loss of running back Lane Blake and wide receiver Dylan Gorman. Blake rushed for 1600 yards and 12 touchdowns while Gorman had 21 catches for over 300 yards. Look for sophomore David O’Neil to get a lot of touches from the backfield.
Where the Titans will be most secure is in the trenches. Senior tackle and three year starter Dillon Moore was an All-TEC selection a year ago. Acting as the other book end to this experienced line will be sophomore Trevor Heady (6’2”, 265).
Defense was the downfall for the Titans in 2013 allowing almost 40 points per game. The low point was allowing two teams to score 60 or more points. Tri will rely on returning linebackers junior Chance Faith, O’Neil, and junior Ben Blake to ratchet up the defense.
