North Miami Falls To Oak Hill
February 12, 2012By Gary Andrews of Three Rivers Conference
The North Miami boys basketball team would like to have one quarter back from Saturday's 68-54 loss to Oak Hill. After being out scored by 23 points in the first quarter, the Warriors ended up falling by 14.
There were two exact opposites in the first quarter. North Miami was cold as ice and Oak Hill was on fire as the Eagles led 28-5 after one.
The Warriors, still figuring out they can play with just about anyone, come back to life in the second with Oak Hill out scoring them just 16-14 and the Warriors trailed 44-19 at the half.
The third quarter would be the same as the second with Oak Hill out scoring North Miami by two points, 14-12 to lead 58-31 with a quarter to go.
Behind a balanced scoring attack, the Warriors would bust loose in the fourth and out score Oak Hill 23-10, but the first quarter hole they dug was way to deep to get out of.
Leading North Miami was Ethan Beech with 12 points. Paul Hayes had 11, Jared Richardson 9, Austin See 7, Ty Musselman 7, Keith Rouch 4, Alex Borse 2 and Cody Pugh 2.
