Music to my Ears!!!

     On 2-25-13, the Thomas nelson concert band had their first ever 8th grade band day. Students from Boston, New Haven and OKH middle schools came to Thomas nelson on Monday but only if they where in band and coming to Thomas Nelson next year. 5th period was very crazy!!!!

     Our band nearly tripled with all of the 8th graders would were here yesterday. We were pretty much sitting wall to wall in the band room. There were about 8 flutes, 10 clarinets, 8 saxaphones, 4 trombones, 2 trumpets, 5 tubes (some using marching tubas which are smaller) and then there was about 7 percussion. Mr.Robinson could barely keep from jumping up and down because he was so happy about the sound we could produce together!!!

     It was very fun to play with the 8th grades but soon the hour was up too quickly. The high schools had to get back to there other classes and the middle schools back to their own schools. However, our band is going to very big and very good with all our new players we'll add next year.
