NEW HEADING 1
February 14, 2013By Greg Brohm of Thomas Nelson HS
Well, STLP met yesterday so they could figure out what everybody was doing. STLP is where they provide leadership opportunities, with students being leadership of technology in the building. They allow students to be a resource to teachers and fellow students. Also they allow students to create STLP projects, products and services in classrooms, the school and community. Projects reflect on community service, entrepreneurial and instructional projects, training others, and assisting with technical issues in the school. They also empower students to learn and use technology to achieve. STLP stands for Student Technology LEADERship Progaram. One example would be that Easton Culver submitted a virtual project for the Winter Virtual Competition he created an orgininal graphic design for "no smoking". We are hoping to go to the state competition and compete in some digital photography competitions and other competitions that are open to any STLPer. There are so many areas in which students can participate, though.
