Ever wondered what it was like to celebrate Christmas during the 19th century? Well if you have here is your chance to find out. Every year My Old Kentucky Home has held what is known as Candle light tours. During the candle light tours you get to see how people would dress ,you get to hear the type of music they would  listen to back in that time period and you even get to enjoy free refreshments that they would have had back in the 19th century such as apple cider. The whole place is decorated up in Christmas decorations. There are candles in every window along with wreaths and bows. They have a huge Christmas tree decorated with old timey decorations and instead of lights they have candles on it. It’s a really interesting and fun for the whole family. The candle light tours last from November 23-24, November 30, December 1, and December 7-8. The tours began at5:30pm and end at 8:30pm. It cost $7 for adults to go, $6 for seniors, for Children 6-12 it cost $3.50 and children under 6 get to go in for free. So if you’re bored, looking for a good time or just curious about what Christmas was like back in the 19th century, gather up the family and head down to My Old Kentucky Home!
