Floyd over Heaton in race for House seat

                Tuesday, November 6, in Bardstown, Republican David Floyd claimed victory over Democratic competitor Dick Heaton for a seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives.

                It was initially a very close race that resulted in Floyd winning 15 of the 26 county voting precincts, along with all 3 in Bullitt County and the single precinct in Spencer County. Floyd kept the seat for district 50, which he has held since 2005, with 60% of the votes.
