Home » General NewsSO-RUSH (Student Organizations)September 5, 2012 Thomas Nelson HSOn Friday, August 24th in the multi-purpose room before school, during lunch, and after school students of TNHS can sign up for Student Organizations, each sponsored by a teacher. The student organizations rush consisted of: Worlds Ambassadors which is sponsored by Ms. Horn, in this club students will be touring near-by sites as well as visiting and learning about foreign countries. FFA is another student organization sponsored by Mr. Hammond in which the students develop leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Also, STLP is a part of the SO-RUSH which is sponsored by Ms. Case in which this provides students with leadership opportunities in technology. The Leader Council is sponsored by Ms. Travis, this club does community service and will organize fundraisers, school events, and promote LEADER values. Beta Club which is sponsored by Mr. Mudd in which students promote ideas of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary schools. General Dramatics is sponsored by Ms. Robinson performs year round, performing a fall drama and a spring musical, auditions take place at the beginning of each semester. Show Choir is sponsored by Ms. Robinson open for any singers, rehearsals are Sundays at 3-5pm. Pep Club is also a part of the SO-RUSH and is sponsored by Ms. Girdley, in Pep Club the students support the athletic teams through spirit and celebration. Key Club is sponsored by Ms. Thomas, teaches students leadership through the service of others. The Key Club members have to have at least 50 service hours per year. Marching Band is sponsored by Mr. Robinson which is open to everyone who is interested in experiencing the power of music. 4-H which is sponsored by Danielle Hutchins, in 4-H Club members get to experience lots of hands on activities. CORP Scholars, sponsored by Ms. Warrell, which is College Orientation and Readiness Program, which will let the members make college visits, and develop a community service action program.. to be in CORP Scholars you have to fill out an application and be accepted. Generation Generals sponsored by Ms. White which will show members respect and tolerance in school and the community. Last but not least, Moose Hunter Club is sponsored by Mr. Bradley.
