Home » Cross Country NewsThomas Nelson Cross-Country is Off to a Good StartSeptember 4, 2012 Thomas Nelson HSAlthough the Thomas Nelson Cross-Country team is brand new, and very small in numbers, they have a bright future. According to the results of the last two meets, they have shown great potential. On August 18, the Thomas Nelson Cross-Country team competed in the DeSales Practice Meet at McNeely Lake. the athletes that competed were Nathan Hagan, Jarret Mattingly, and Austin Jenkins. Nathan Hagan placed seventh with a time of 18.38.25. On August 25, the Thomas Nelson Cross-Country tean competed in the Tiger Run, hosted by St. Xavier. The meet took place in Louisville Championship Park. The team competed in varsity boys and girls against teams within their region and beyond. The athletes that competed were Hope Stansbury, Faith stansbury, Sadie Middleton, and Tyler Bradley. Faith Stansbury placed ninth with a time of 23.02.07. Don't forget to wish the competitors good luck in their next match, the AJ Special, on August 30th! Coach Hoyes is also very excited about the season saying, "We're off to a good start."
