Home » Baseball NewsSALINE TAKES 2 FROM MAPLESApril 28, 2010 Adrian High SchoolAdrian at Saline: The visiting Maples were hurt by a big Saline inning in the opener and proceeded to drop both games, 6-4 and 9-2. The Hornets scored four runs in the first inning of the opener, taking advantage of two Adrian errors, and two walks plus a leadoff home run. Gage Lolley started on the mound for the Maples and went four innings, pitching well after the rocky start. Jordan Raymond appeared in a relief role. Marcus Perez was 2-for-3 at the plate for Adrian (3-8), scoring a run, while Tony Cappelletty, Cam Moorehead and Mitchell Webb accounted for the Maples' other hits. Moorehead added three RBIs. Andrew Wood was the pitcher of record in the nightcap, starting and pitching three innings before Cappelletty relieved him. Moorehead was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, Tyler Frank and Lolley were each 2-for-3 and Perez had a hit and scored a run.
