Senior Kelly Butler set the tone for the Adrian High School softball team's domina­tion of Ann Arbor Skyline on Thursday, tossing a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts in the first game as the Maples posted an 11-0 vic­tory in five innings.

Karissa DeVore followed that with a five-strikeout performance as Adrian completed the sweep, with a 15-0 win in a three­ inning game.

Butler got plenty of offen­sive backup in the opener, led by Jenna Hines, who was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and scored two runs. Tayla Espinoza was 2-for-4 with three runs and a stolen base. Sam Garcia knocked in a pair of runs and and stole two bases.

Marquita Perez was 3­for-3 with two runs and two stolen bases in the second game with Courtney Sanderson going 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two stolen bases. Garcia added a triple with two RBIs and scored three runs while Hines had two stolen bases.

The Maples improve to 2-2 in the Southeastern Conference White Division and 8-3 overall.
