Rumors Section: coach talk, player movement and related basketball propaganda. Strictly non confirmed info
I am hearing rumors of teams combining in Texas. More on that after Ronald Searles.
Looks like the Miami Heat has set a trend. More kids are joining new teams to stack up. I guess parents want more than development for their AAU dollar. More on that later but there seems to be more player movement this off season. Looks like the biggest free agency period ever in NBA history has trickled down to TEXAS AAU. Total Package top two fifth graders joined GCBC along with Jeremiah Gambrell from Game Time Tigers. Also Keenan from Rytes Silver played with them at the Fall ball league at Stallions facility. Who would have predicted that? They are must see in my book. I hope I don't get assigned to ref their games. I want to watch in the Jack Nicholson section like I'm at a Laker game. Will Clyde raise the price at the door if they play Rytes Black in the championship? Just asking.
We hear that Houston Hoops is hot on the trail of an area coach who burst on the scene with his fast pace brand of attacking basketball recently. He is rumored to be targeted to give their youth direction and training. Let see how this develops before breaking names. We hear he may be a target of the Defenders Select as well.
Defenders Select are becoming a major presence. Not only with the older groups but are starting to make a dent on the youth scene. Home of the top 7th grade group possibly in the USA (I'm biased). They also will have the favorites on the 9u third grade level as well. Jaylon Allen, remember the name. The best player on that level this year trust me.
We hear that D Gibs is losing their head coach and some top players. Remy Minor who joined mid year is back with Houston Elite. That may have opened the flood gates. Rumors swirl around the destination of Chandler, Duri Caldwell and Jay Carter. All three impact the games with their abilities and could tilt the scales toward wherever they land.
We hear that Rytes (Black) reloaded with talent and depth. They were a smallish team with a thin bench, even though they still blew out most opponents. We hear that coach Holt addressed that. Uh oh.
Texas Inferno was a team with a nice talent base. Looks like they are splitting up. Suspects involved Rytes Warriors, Houston Select, GCBC, Heat, and Elite are rumored to be scooping up the talent one player at a time.
