UPDATE:Columbia State's TCCAA Lead Still 2 After Sweep!

The Columbia State Chargers remain atop theTennessee Community College Athletic Association after a sweep of the Generals of Jackson State.
CSCC defeated the Generals 11-2 and 7-2 Friday and 12-9 Saturday moving their record to 16-2 in Region VII holding on to their two-game lead over Walters State. CSCC improved their overall win/loss record to 29-6.
Logan Gray and Chris Orphanos and Cole Harrington got the wins for the Chargers.
The other big series in the TCCAA is the meeting between the number two ranked teams. Walters State and Chattanooga State are in Morristown for the battle for second place.
In Fridays first game the Senators defeated the Tigers 10-5, after trailing 5-0, to take sole possession of second place with a record of 12-4. Chattanooga drops to 11-5.
In Saturdays action the Senators took two 11-1 & 3-2 in 8 innings. The Senators jumped to 14-4 in region play.
Volunteer State took two out of three from the Eagles of Dyersburg State. The Pioneers winning 5-3 and 7-5. The Eagles took the rubber game 8-3 to avoid the sweep.
