Lincoln relied on its ground game to pound Wes-Del in the second half Friday and pull away for a 45-21 victory.

Ben Bertsch returned an interception about 45 yards for a touchdown, giving the Eagles a 7-0, halftime lead.

In the second half, Kyler Baker stormed for four scoreds, covering 8, 3, 3 and 5 yards. He finished with about 140 yards rushing.

Nick Cupp also intercepted a pass for the Eagles, and Logan Harmeyer recovered a fumble.

Lincoln (1-1) opens TEC play next Friday opposite Tri.
