DUBLIN, Ind. – Sydney Griffin doubled to drive in the winning run in the ninth inning of a 4-3 victory over New Castle on Saturday, helping Lincoln earn a doubleheader split after the Trojans won the first game 9-0.

Karly Shank also doubled in the Game 2 win, while Kerrigan Neff drove in two runs and Haley Hall scored the game-winning run.

Griffin struck out the first 14 batters she faced in relief to pick up the win.

Hall, Neff and Alex Cox each had a hit for the Eagles in Game 1.

Lincoln (4-1) also defeated North Decatur 16-2 Friday.

Hall had five RBIs in that game, Neff added four and Kristen Meal and Griffin each had three.
