WINCHESTER, Ind. – Bryce Fields and Shane Mosley both homered to help Union County open Tri-Eastern Conference play with a 12-2, six-inning victory over Winchester on Saturday.

Fields went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and scored five runs, and Hunter Miller was 3-for-5 with a home run to help the Patriots complete a doubleheader sweep with a 17-5 victory in Game 2.

Mosley doubled and he, Dakota Stansberry and Ben Peters each had two hits in Game 2. Miller, Fields and Jameson Walters each had two hits in Game 1.

Dakota Holliday and Brandon Martin had two hits on the day for Winchester, Michael Georgi had three stolen bases and Aaron Beatty had two.

Union County (3-0, 1-0) hosts National Trail on Wednesday. Winchester (0-3, 0-1) plays Wednesday at Muncie Central.
