TRI TRACK RESULTS

Blue River Valley's girls track team opened its season Thursday, winning a 3-way meet with Tri and Union. Scores were Blue River 98, Tri 34 and Union 13.
Hope Crabtree of the Vikings won both hurdles events. Mallery Sharp won the 100 and 200 dashes. Christina Hughes won both throws. Bryanna Chowning won the 1600 and 3200 runs. Brenna Koontz won the long jump, Cailin Vaughn the 400 and Madysen Koontz the 800.
The 3200 relay team of Crabtree, Sells, Chowning and Madysen Koontz won, as well as the 400 team of Sharp, Brenna Koontz, Emeline Scott and Ronika DeWeese, and the 1600 relay team of Sharp, Crabtree, Madysen Koontz and Vaughn.
Blue River is 2-0 and competes at home next Tuesday vs. Cowan.

Tri won the boys side of this meet. Scores were Tri 71, Union 48 and Blue River 44.
Leading the way for the Titans were seniors Dylan Gorman and Chris Flowers, who each picked up three blue ribbons. Gorman won the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, and the long jump, while Flowers earned top spots with wins in the 800 run, 1600 run, and was part of the 1600 relay team.
Joining Flowers on the relay were Hunter Nuzzi, Bryce Campbell, and Jared LeClerc. The 400 dash was won by Titan freshman Hunter Nuzzi.
Also scoring for the Titans were Garrett Jessup, Austin Campbell, Grant Jessup, Kaleb Appleby and Chase Gardner.
Tri races again on Monday at Cambridge City Lincoln at 5 p.m.
