UNION CITY, IND. — Hunter Miller scored the last of his game-high 22 points with an improbable, one-handed, reverse layup that looked as if the ball had little to no angle to reach the rim.
Even Miller was surprised the shot went in.
Less surprising was just how quickly Union County shook off the rust of a 13-day layoff.
The Patriots’ winning streak reached 11 — and they kept themselves in front of the Tri-Eastern Conference — with Friday’s 63-42 victory at Union City.
“Not playing in 13 days is tough,” said Miller, who added six rebounds as Union County improved to 11-1. “We needed it. We were rusty.
