Tigers stay undefeated

LEWISVILLE, Ind. – Hagerstown stayed perfect on the season with a 47-7 win Saturday over Tri High.

Steven Glover rushed for two touchdowns, while Daniel Charles and Cole Bartlett also added rushing scoresas the Tigers stayed at the top of the TECwith the victory.

The Tiger defense provided points, too.J.J. Dailey returned a fumble 85 yards for a touchdown, while Coty Bailey blocked a punt and returned it for another score, and Kain Grose took an interception back to the end zone.

“Defensively we played really well today,” said Hagerstown coach Scott Snodgrass. “I felt like special teams played phenomenal as well. It was a real windy day and fortunately the defense stepped up.”

Hagerstown (6-0, 4-0) plays host Friday to Centerville.

Golden Eagles win

LIBERTY, Ind. – Tyler Brown rushed for 141 yards and accounted for several scores in Lincoln’s 34-13 win over TEC foe Union County on Saturday.

Brown had three offensive touchdowns, and also returned an interception 47 yards for a score. Grant Renforth tossed two TDs — a 25-yarder to Gavin Cornett and 37 yards to Brown — while Caleb Ketring had three sacks to lead the Golden Eagle defense.

“This is three weeks in a row we’ve played on Saturday,” said Lincoln coach Phil Renforth. “It’s kind of tough sometimes. We struggled a little bit at the start of the game today, but overall our level of play was pretty good.”

Lincoln (4-2, 3-1) plays host Friday to TEC foe Union City.

 

Indians halt Falcons

UNION CITY, Ind. – Union City stayed perfect with Saturday’s 19-6 TEC win over Winchester.

Jamie Antonoglou carried the ball 32 times for 214 yards and scored. He scored on a run to stake the Indians to a 7-0 halftime lead.

Grant Shoemaker connected with Duran Bocanegra for a Union City touchdown. Drew Croyle ran in a 1-yard touchdown for Winchester to cut the lead to 13-6 at the start of the fourth quarter.

“It was a close ballgame. They’re good,” said Winchester coach Mike Jones. “It was a real physical, real good ballgame.”

Winchester (3-3, 3-2) plays host Friday to Jay County, while Union City (6-0, 4-0) is at Lincoln.
