Home » Basketball NewsIHSAA's Cox: Public favors single-class basketball tournamentMay 26, 2012 Tri-Eastern ConferenceAfter 11 town meetings across Indiana, the public has spoken: It favors a single-class high school basketball state tournament over the current four-class version. Indiana High School Athletic Association Commissioner Bobby Cox said Friday that more than two-thirds of the 514 votes cast (68.1 percent) were for the former single-class tourney that was last played in 1997. The IHSAA moved to a four-class system the next year.
