2011 District Track at BGM

The Tri-County boys and girls track teams participated in districts on May 12^th.  The following boys qualified for the state track meet in Des Moines on May 19-May 21.  Tri-County has several state qualifiers for next week.  Isaac Shaull ran an 11.10 in the 100 meter dash.  The 4 x 200 team (Spencer Steinke, Adam Striegel, Levi Ryals, Isaac Shaull, Colton Molyneux-alternate) ran a 1:33.13.  The distance medley team (Isaac Shaull, Spencer Steinke, Levi Ryals, Adam Striegel, Nick Watts-alternate) set a new school record with a time of 3:42.36.

Isaac Shaull placed 2^nd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.94.  Spencer Steinke took 4^th place running a 23.55.  Levi Ryals ran a season best 51.95 in the 400 meter dash to place 2^nd.  Skyler Purdy ran a 1:04.60 to place 18^th in the 400 meter dash.  Skyler Purdy ran a 2:25.23 in the 800 meter run to place 16^th.  Bobby Carruthers placed 11^th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:41.99.  Ray Skinner placed 16^th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:21.99.  The 4 x 100 team (Nick Watts, Skyler Purdy, William Corrick, Colton Molyneux) placed 12^th with a time of 51.64.  The 4 x 400 team (Nick Watts, Colton Molyneux, William Corrick, Skyler Purdy) placed 12^th with a time of 4:26.73.  Spencer Steinke placed 4^th in the long jump by jumping 20' 1/4".  William Corrick placed 20^th with a throw of 30'11 ¾".  Bobby Carruthers placed 22^nd in the discus with a throw of 66'6".  Nathan Fisher placed 23^rd with a time of 63'5".

Jasmine Glenn placed 15^th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 32.63.  Gabby Bethke placed 12^th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:26.84.  Jackie Moore ran a personal best 2:40.22 to place 4^th.  Laura Steinke ran a 17.24 to place 6^th in the 100 meter hurdles.  Jennifer Weber placed 12^th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.33.  The 4 x 100 team (Sara Gragg, Katie Krumm, Laura Steinke, Kacy Brumbaugh) placed 9^th with a time of 58.28.  The 4 x 200 team (Jennifer Weber, Hazel Kitzman, Jasmine Glenn, Abbie Meyer) placed 12^th with a time of 2:19.39.  The 4 x 400 team (Abbie Meyer, Hazel Kitzman, Gabby Bethke, Sarah Striegel) ran a season best 5:35.89 to place 12^th.  The 4 x 800 team (Jackie Moore, Hazel Kitzman, Sarah Striegel, Abbie Meyer) placed 7^th with a time of 12:18.28.  The sprint medley team (Katie Krumm, Kacy Brumbaugh, Laura Steinke, Sara Gragg) placed 10^th with a time of 2:09.55.
