October 21, 2012
By Doug Seagrave of Triton Central High School

Submitted by Ray Basile:

The Tiger volleyball season comes to a close in the second round of Sectionals with a loss to 10th ranked CardinalRitter.

The Tigers lost the first two games but rallied for a 25-23 win in the third game and were tied at 12-12 in the 4th before falling short.

The Tigers' offense was led by Allison Gill and Emily Lahne who each recorded 7 kills. Milliken Guy recorded 15 assists, an ace and 8 digs.

Jordan Ingle led the front-line defense with 4 blocks to go along with 4 kills, 2 digs and an ace. Faith Welty contribued 5 kills and 2 blocks as well. Sarah Green posted 19 digs while Kim Heagy had a season high 33 digs against the hard-hitting Ritter offense.

The Tiger's coaches and players would like to thank their family and fans, as well as the TCHS student body, for all of their support this year.

Good luck Tigers in 2013!
