Home » Girls' Volleyball NewsCounty ChampsOctober 7, 2012 By Doug Seagrave of Triton Central High SchoolSubmitted by Ray Basile: TC Tigers win their County Championship for the first time since 2001!! Led by County Tournament MVP Jordan Ingle with 7 kills on 10 attacks, plus 4 aces, a block and 4 digs, the Tigers defeated Waldron 25-16, 19-25 and 15-10 to earn the tournament trophy. Milliken Guy had another strong game with 11 assists, 3 kills, 2 aces and 8 assists, along with some very timely and heads-up play. Emily Lahne was sharp again, contributing 4 kills and an ace. Allison Gill had a second very strong match of the day, providing 4 kills, an ace and three digs. Kim Heagy once again led the defense, this time with 15 digs to go along with an ace and near-perfect passes on free-ball plays. The Tigers look to continue their much-improved play this week, having won 3 of the last 4 matches. They end their home season this coming Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at TCHS against a very tough Ritter team. Please come cheer on the 7 volleyball seniors, Allyssa, Kim, Sarah, Emily, Jordan, Jordan and Milliken, on Senior Night as they play their last home match of their high school careers. With their strong play recently and the great crowd support the last few matches, the Tigers look to put an exclamation mark on their season and fight for a win over first place Ritter.
