Home » Cross Country NewsTiger Runners Compete At Eagle ClassicSeptember 10, 2012 By Greg Hill of Triton Central High SchoolThis past Saturday the boys and girls Cross Country teams traveled to beautiful Brown County to run in the host schools invitational - the Eagle Classic. The boys team placed 18th in the field of 21 for the small school division - which we were still one of the smallest in a very tough group of teams. Despite a soggy course due to all the rain the night before - times were all improved! The boys were led once again by Junior - Cory Miller, who finished the 5k in 18:00 minutes. he was followed by Johnny Hollingswoth in 19:15, Jarrett Leland in 19:42, Eric Colter in 20:40, Jeremy Naue in 21:32, Adam Troutt in 22:23, and Nick McAllister in 22:25. The ladies had a particularly good day with over a minute in time improvement. Kathryn Peterson finished 10th overall completing the 5k in a season best time of 21:08. She was followed by Madison Mohr, who also ran her season best - in 23:31. The Tigers run next at the Edinburg Invitational this coming Saturday.
