Former head coach Greg Hill returns to a program that has a pair of talented runners.

Cory Miller and Kaitlyn Peterson — now juniors — were the 2011 cross country runners of the year for Shelby County.

Peterson has benefited from training with the boys while the girls' program has struggled to find runners in recent seasons. Hill's daughter, Makaela, has joined the team and will run with sophomore MacKenzie Scott.

The boys' program has two seniors, Eric Coulter and Jarret Leland. Johnny Hollingsworth and James Russell are the only sophomores.

Nick McAllister, Jeremy Naue, Stephen Northam, Alex Roberts, Kyle Tilley and Adam Troutt are all freshmen.
