Oct. 18 - The TC Eagles (5-3, 4-1 in TAAC) fell short to the Northwood RAngers (6-2, 5-0 in TAAC) 38-20, in an exciting Friday night game. The Eagles would strike first on an 87-yard "Hook and Ladder", Brett Freeman to Kyle Kempton to Caleb Wotring, who raced 79 yards for the touchdown. Northwood would capitalize on an Eagles penalty by kicking a field goal at the end of the 1st half and the Eagles were up 6-3.
The Eagles started the 2nd half with key catches by Kempton and Michael Norman. A great run by Freeman and Wotring ended with another touchdown run, giving the Eagles a 14-3 lead. Northwood would strike back with two unanswered touchdowns, giving the Rangers a 17-14 lead. The Eagle offense struck again with Wotring taking it 38 yards to the house, putting the Eagles back on top 20-17. But the Eagles fell short as the Rangers scored 21 unanswered pionts, giving them the victory. Caleb Wotring had 132 total yards and three touchdowns (2 rushing, 1 receiving) for the Eagles.
The Eagles travel to Edon (6-2, 4-1 in TAAC) to face the Bombers in a pivotal TAAC matchup with playoff implicaitons on the line!
