Cavs Bounce Back To Winning Ways At Delphi

January 18, 2014
Tri-County Jr.-Sr. High School

The Cavaliers fournd their pace early in the Delphi contest and it was a very deliberate pace.  They used great teamwork and patience to move out to a 9-3 first period lead.  Delphi seemed bothered by the long periods of time without the ball, but recovered to hit some 3 pt shots.  The Oracles could not slow down the Cavalier offense and gave up another 13 pts in quarter two.

In the third quarter the Oracles tried to speed up the tempo and found a little success outscoring the Cavaliers 10-7 clawing their way back to a 29-24 deficit.  The Cavaliers beat the Delphi press for layups in the early part of quarter 4 and spurted to a 10 pt lead and that was the end of Delphi's chances to wrestle the game away.  The Cavaliers outscored the Oracles 10-2 in the final frame and salted away the victory 30-23.

Zack Patton had 14 pts, Kyle Miller 10 pts, Dane Hardebeck 9 pts, Elijah Legler 4 pts  to lead the Cavaliers to their 7th victory of the season.
