Home » Boys' Basketball NewsPreview of Lexington Christian vs. Tates CreekFebruary 17, 2011 By Clay Vanlandingham of Tates Creek High SchoolThe start of the "Road to the Championship" will begin on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, when Tates Creek plays Lexington Christian at Lafayette in the District playoffs to make their way to their goal of winning a State Championship or at least get to the Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena. Tates Creek won the previous match-up against the Eagles at their place by a score of 56-34, where Marcellus Barksdale was close for a double -double when he had 22 points, and 9 rebounds plus 5 steals. Ryan Fucci also added 18 points in the previous game. That will be Lexington Christian's plan is to stop the "Big Two," even though Tates Creek has plenty of options with Kendalle Mack, Darius Gibson, among others. The only guy that Tates Creek needs to watch is Tyler Harville, who scored 14 points and dumped 3 three pointers on the Creek, but he was the only double scorer of the game. Maroon Platoon will be in full force for the game to support the Creekers, and I will be there as well in the Platoon. Clay Vanlandingham reporting and this is TSPN.
