Tates Creek Womens Soccer Win in Semi Final Match up against Woodford County

October 19, 2012
By Margaret Workman of Tates Creek High School

Watching the first half of the Tates Creek and Woodford County game you would be scratching your head as to why Creek had not scored a goal or played with the intensity they had shown on Monday night. But once the half was over they never looked back.Creeks Defense worked hard to keep Woodfords offense at Bay and the Midfield battled to get the ball up to the offense.

Gotta give credit to Woodford County for working hard to stay in the game, but once the Commodores stepped back onto the field after a pumped up speech from Captain Abby Vanbussum they knew they had no choice but to pick it up and go hard. They did just that when Destinie Graves scored the first goal and that opened the flood gates, the second goal was an amazing Corner by Mallory Eubanks and Shelby Williams headed it in! The final goal was a great shot by Aaron Lankster who decided to dribble through the defense and rocket a shot to the corner past Woodford County's Keeper.

The Team heads into Saturdays Championship Game against Lexington Catholic pumped up and ready to work hard! Can't DAM the CREEK!!! They are as focused as ever and they have a fire in their belly and are committed to KEEPING THE JERSEYS!!!!

Please pass the word along to all of CREEK NATION....we need everyone out there Saturday night supporting these girls who have worked hard to represent their school and they play with such passion that you can't help but enjoy watching them!

Game time Saturday October 20-7pm-275 Beasley Road-Woodford County.

Spread  the word!! Lets make this shout out to CREEK NATION go VIRAL!!!! #TCIBA,#KEEP THE JERSEYS, #CREEKNATION.....#WEBELIEVE....
