Holiday Classic should be good one.

For all the years of the Medford Holiday Boys Basketball Classic, competition has varied by the level of teams invited to participate. This year's version of the event, presented by Abby's, should be a wide open affair with any number of teams walking away with the title on Sunday, Dec 29 championship game at North Medford.
In the upper bracket, Sprague and Westview meet in the opening game followed by Sheldon at South Medford. These games are at South gym. Sheldon and South Medford become fellow Southern Oregon Conference members next year so this will be a look at what's to come in the future SOC races.
Westview is 5-1 on the season, with South Medford losing two games at the Red Bluff Tournament to strong California teams should reach the semi finals. Westview South would be quite a matchup.
Sheldton is 4-2 while Sprague is 2-4.
In the lower bracker, Southridge comes in with a 4-3 record and they meet the upstart Crater Comets are 3-3. The game of the opening round takes place when North Medford 5-1 hosts unbeaten McKay Royal Scots at 7:45 pm Friday. Something has to give on this game and whoever wins it should make the finals.
In the end, North and South Medford have won the tournament many times in the past. Playing at home makes a difference. This tournament is wide open with favorites to be Westview, South Medford, North Medford and McKay. Take your pick who wins the tournament, its anybody's guess. This event is wide open with some pretty good teams ready to rock and roll the Holiday Basketball Class.
