SEC Teams Ready for Softball Playoffs.

SEC TEAMS Ready For 4A Softball State Playoffs:

Four teams are getting ready for the 2011 NCHSAA Softball State Championships. The two top teams (1 Scotland and the 2 Lady Rams) will be starting out at home and the two other teams (3 Richmond and 4 Lumberton) will take to the road all in the first round. All four teams made it to the playoffs last year. The Lady Rams made the biggest run as they made their first ever showing in the Sectionals before losing to Fuquay-Varina.

Scotland/22-0 will be taking on last year's East Regional Champions
Harnett Central/12-10 the fifth seed out of the Greater Neuse. The Trojans defeated the Scots last year on their way to the Regional/State Championship game.

Purnell Swett/16-6 will be taking on E A Laney/15-6. The Lady Rams and the Bucs have already played twice this season. Each team winning on the road. The Lady Bucs are the Mideastern number three seed.

Richmond/15-11 will be taking on Apex/12-6. The Lady Raiders were last year's number one seed and were eliminated in the second round. The Apex courgars are the Tri-9 number

three seed.

Lumberton/14-10 will be taking on Leesville Road/20-4. The Lady Pirates which was also the number  four seed last season, were ousted in the first round. The Lady Pride is the number two seed coming out of the CAP-8.
