Highsmith Heading To Western CT

  Danbury, CT- Grizzlies wide receiver Marquis Highsmith looks to add an instant impact next fall as he commits to Western Connecticut State University.

A 2010 graduate from West Haven High School, Highsmith was a very productive receiver for the undefeated Grizzlies this season. At 6' and 165 pounds, Highsmith's jumping ability (36 inch vertical) and open field elusiveness makes him a perfect fit for the Colonials spread offense.  

"We're excited for Marquis; he was one of the first kids we talked to about the Grizzlies last spring so we're very happy to see him end up at Western" said Grizzlies Bernie Armstrong, "we'll miss him but that is what our program is created to do."
