Home » Baseball NewsBulldogs Improve to 4-0, Beat GlasgowApril 6, 2011 By Kevin Hicks of Sturgeon High SchoolGarrett Kelly threw a gem for Sturgeon in their 4-0 defeat of Glasgow, going 6 innings, striking out 13 , walking none and allowing four hits. Spencer Kelly threw the seventh inning walking one and striking out two to ensure the victory for the Bulldogs. Sturgeon scored twice with two outs in the first on an RBI groundout by Lane Arends and a double from Chris Chism and from there Kelly throttled the Yellowjacket bats. Sturgeon added some insurance runs in the sixth as Sam Pollock led off with a double and added his second run of the day on an RBI single from Kelly and another Arends grounder added the fourth and final tally for the Bulldogs. Sturgeon returns to action on Thursday and Friday as they host Atlanta and North Callaway.
