Garrett Kelly threw the first 4 innings before Lane Arends relieved the fifth and Jordan Barrett finished the mercy rule shortened contest by throwing the sixth inning. Barrett had two hits to lead the offense for Sturgeon and added an RBI. The big blow for Sturgeon came in the first inning as Chris Chism belted a three run home run to with two outs to start the Sturgeon barrage. Garrett Kelly also had three RBI's with a sacrifice fly and a two run double. Sturgeon is scheduled to return to action Saturday as they host their tournament, Mother Nature however, looks to have aomething to say about the tourney taking place.
