The St. Luke's Wildcats traveled to McIntosh, AL, to take on the McIntosh Demons in the 1st football Game of the 2014 season. The Wildcats got on the scoreboard first with a 14 yard pass from Luke Phillips to JD Favors. The pair would connect again in the second quarter on a 45 yard pass. The Wildcats took at 14 point lead into halftime, and then explode for another 21 points in the 2nd half.

Luke Phillips would score on a pair of runs off 15 and 55 yards. The highlight of the game was JD Favors' 75 yard defensive strip touchdown (strip 6).

Offensively the Wildcats ran for 212 yards and 97 passing yards. Defensively, the Wildcats held McIntosh's 24 total yards. The Wildcats will have a bye week this week, and will play Sweet Water High School at home (West Mobile Park), next week September 5.

AWARDS: Luke Phillips has been selected as the Crichton Optimist Club Player of the Week for week 1.  Luke was also nominated for AL.com Player of the Week--voting is ongoing.
