Drew Dismukes was 2-for-2 with a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored, and Danny Haskelldrove in two runs and picked up the win on the mound to lead Class 1A top-ranked St. Luke'sover Class 1A No. 5 Maplesville, 11-5, to win the best-of-three quarterfinal series.

Haskell (3-0) pitched 2 1/3 innings of shutout ball in relief, allowing only two hits while striking out one, while also going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs at the plate.Brandon Cook also doubled and drove in three runs for the Wildcats (32-5).

Trent Smitherman was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Damian Mitchell drove in a run with a 2-for-4 night at the plate to lead Maplesville. Zachary Bush pitched a complete game but was tagged with the loss after allowing nine hits and 11 runs (seven earned) with four walks and six strikeouts.

With the win, St. Luke's advances to play Fayetteville in the semifinals.

St. Luke's couldn't overcome a hot start byMaplesville in game one, but came back strong in game two to force a third game in the third round of the Class 1A tournament.

Brandon Abbott was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead No. 5 Maplesville in game one. Trevor Wallace and Damian Mitchell each went 2-for-4 with two runs scored for the Red Devils in game one, and Colby Chambers picked up the win from the mound.

Leighton Lary was 2-for-3 with a solo home run for top-ranked St. Luke's in game one, while Luke Phillips was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Lary took the mound for St. Luke's (31-5) in game two, tossing seven strikeouts and allowing one earned run in seven innings to pick up the win and force game three. Phillips was 2-for-4 with three runs scored in the second game, while Danny Haskellwas 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Austin Davis was 2-for-2.

Trent Smitherman and Brett Walker each went 2-for-3 with a run scored for Maplesville in game two.
