Baseball: Cook, Jackson lead St. Luke's past Daphne, 9-2

Pitcher Brandon Cook was 2 for 3 and drove in both of St. Luke's runs in the third inning on their way to a 9-2 win against host Daphne.

Cook (1-1) pitched five innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits. Jeremiah Jackson singled with the bases loaded to get two RBIs as the Wildcats (4-2) scored seven runs in the sixth inning. Jackson had another hit and RBI in addition to scoring twice.

Tevin Rencher singled and scored the Trojans' run in the first inning, while Trent Brunies scored the other run on a run down situation before the second out in the bottom of the sixth inning. Cameron Moorer took the loss and gave up two runs on four hits in 3 2/3 innings.
