MOBILE, Alabama — The Mobile area volleyball Player of the Week will be chosen by fan voting so make your choice known by selecting from the list below.
Voting will end at midnight on Thursday with the winner revealed on Friday.
Morgan Dulaney, Bayside Academy: Led the Class 3A top-ranked Admirals to the Silver Division title of Hoover’s Over the Mountain Tournament. The senior provided 68 kills, 61 digs, 16 aces and 11 blocks as Bayside compiled a 7-2 record.
Whitney Hinton, UMS-Wright: Helped the Bulldogs to a 4-1 record at the Smiths Station tournament, losing to eventual winner Class 5A fourth-ranked Benjamin Russell in the semifinal round. The sophomore libero served at 95 percent with 17 aces, adding 74 digs and five assists.
Elise Polio, St. Luke’s: Helped Class 1A third-ranked St. Luke’s to a 3-2 record against five Class 6A teams in Hoover’s tournament. The sophomore outside hitter contributed 36 kills, 11 digs and four aces as the Wildcats beat Vestavia Hills, Minor and Niceville, Fla., falling to third-ranked Bob Jones and Sparkman.
Janna Terry, Baker: The sophomore set up the big hitters with 67 assists in three matches (22.3 per match average) as Baker downed Robertsdale, Mobile Christian and Alma Bryant.
Sharon Williams, McGill-Toolen: Led Class 6A top-ranked McGill-Toolen to a 5-3 record last week with 88 assists, 78 service attempts with one error and four aces (98.7 percent) along with three kills and 20 digs.
