Home » Baseball NewsWildcats 3-1 on weekend seriesMarch 11, 2013 St. Lukes Episcopal SchoolBaseball: St. Luke's 12, McIntosh 0; St. Luke's 11, McIntosh 0Friday afternoon the Wildcats swept the doubleheader versus area opponent McIntosh via the 10 run rule in both games. In game one, sophomore Danny Haskell and 7th grader Jeremiah Jackson combined to throw a 5 inning perfect game for the win. In game two, senior Vince Oberkirch pitched a 5 inning complete game no-hitter to earn the victory. This is the second year in a row for Haskell to throw a perfect game followed by Oberkirch pitching a no hitter versus McIntosh. Baseball: St. Luke's 14, Murphy 4, Justin Ware hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Drew Dismukes had a two-run homer in the third to key a seven-run inning as St. Lukes defeated Murphy in a game shortened to five innings by the 10-run rule. Ware finished the game with three hits and three RBIs, while Dismukes had three hits and five RBIs. Chris Enger added three hits to the St. Luke's offense. Colby Rouse went 2-for-2 for Murphy. Murphy Mostellar (1-0) was the winning pitcher, giving up four hits and four earned runs while striking out four and walking three. John Marc Girareeau took the loss, allowing 11 hits and 13 runs, 10 earned, while walking four and striking out one.
Baseball: St. Luke's 8, Citronelle 10In game two of the Saturday Doubleheader, St. Luke's got down 10-1 versus Citronelle before rallying back and scoring 4 in the bottom of the 7th innning. The comeback fell short as Citronelle's top pitcher went the distance and closed out the game with the St. Luke's Wildcats losing to the Citronelle Wildcats 10-8.
