Girls place 2nd in first match of the season

Girls Golf: Bayside wins individual, team honors

Hayleigh Hughes won individual honors, helping Bayside Academy finish first in a four-team event at Herron Lakes Country Club.

Hughes had a seven-over-par 43 for nine holes. She was followed by teammate Rebecca Todd (45) and Cottage Hill's Kaitlin Thomas (51).

Bayside won team honors with a 142. The Admirals were followed by St. Luke (164), Cottage Hill (191) and Mobile Christian (204).
