Boys Basketball: Cottage Hill Christian Academy 64, St. Luke's 53

, November 13, 2012 10:36 p.m.

MOBILE, Alabama -- Jonathan  Johnson had a game-high 22 points as visiting Class 3A Cottage Hill  Christian Academy held off a late rally by Class 1A St. Luke's.

"We didn't play that well in the second half," CHCA coach  Adam Thomas said.  "We missed some  free throws and allowed St. Luke's to get back in the ball game. I'm  proud of my team though, they stuck in there to win  the game."

Tyler Kaufston had 12 points for the Warriors (2-0) while Eric Carbo had 11. Adam Miller added 18 for St. Luke's.

The game wasn't that close in the beginning as CHCA went ahead  10-2 at the end of the opening quarter and led 29-14 at halftime. Thanks  to nailed 23-of-29 free throws St. Luke's pulled to  within five points at 51-46 with three minutes  left in the final quarter but never managed to get any closer
