Cross Country Team Breaks Records

St. Lukes Episcopal School



Saturday was a record meet for all St. Luke's boys and girls runners.  Competing against some of the top teams in the area and state, at Blakley State Park in Spanish Fort , all 7 boys and 2 girls that competed for the Wildcats posted personal best times.

With only one regular season meet left before the Sectionals in Montgomery, John Loris and Paul Williamson broke the 3 year old school record for Cross Country.  John finished the 5k event with a time of 19:55, while Paul finished in 20:03.  Both beat the old record time of 20:04 set in 2010.

The teams will complete the regular season on Thursday at the Mobile County Cross Country Championships at Municipal Park and then head to the Sectionals onNovember 1st, looking to qualify for the State Meet for the first time in school history.
