Bulldogs Lose Game at Hermann

Playing at Hermann Thursday, April 28, St. Clair dropped a 6-2 Four Rivers Conference game.

Leading 3-2, the host Bearcats extended their lead to 6-2 with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and held on from there.

Hermann (8-7, 3-3) took a 3-0 lead with three runs in the bottom of the third frame.

St. Clair (3-10, 0-6) scored single runs in the top of the fourth and fifth innings.

Brendan Murphy pitched all six innings for St. Clair to suffer the loss. He allowed six runs on six hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Travis Sanders, Joe Sedlock and Hayden Norton each had one hit for the Bulldogs. Jeff Moore and Jon Perkins both scored one run. Murphy had one RBI.

Lucas Budnik tossed all seven innings for Hermann to earn the win. He allowed two runs on four hits with no walks and four strikeouts.

Jake Schannuth paced the Bearcats at the plate with two hits and two RBI. Dalton Grosse added one hit, two RBIs and two runs.

Brett Eckelkamp finished with one hit and two RBIs. Brett Houska and Donovan Weaver both had one hit. Trey Thomas scored two runs.

St. Clair lost Friday to Rockwood Summit, 18-3.
