3 Big Wins Improves the Varsity Record to 9-0

Zumwalt North - (1-5) - 26

St. Charles - (7-0) - 41

In a hard fought contest the Pirates led the entire way in their first home game of the year.  The Pirates came out with a 13-8 first quarter lead and outscored the Panthers 20-9 in the second half to pull away.  

Gabby Walker led the team with 15 points and Olivia Hollander scored 14 as the Pirates scored every field goal from the paint.  Katie Bradley led the way with 5 assists and Lauren Willis had 4 steals.  Walker contributed 11 rebounds to the Pirates first home victory.

St. Charles - (8-0) - 28

Howell Central - (2-4) - 26

In a game that saw a lot of twists and turns the varsity squad eked out a victory by a Gabby Walker layup with 3 seconds remaining for the win.  The Pirates led 14-2 at half and then was out scored 13-2 in the third quarter to pull the Spartans within 1.  The girls were able to hold on for the closest victory of the year.

Gabby Walker led the way with 14 points and Olivia Hollander had 11 pts in the win.  Walker led the team with 7 rebounds and Hollander chipped in 6.  Katie Bradley had 2 assists and Walker contributed 4 steals in the victory.

Howell North - (2-5) - 25

St. Charles - (9-0) - 55

The Pirates led from start to finish to beat the visiting Knights.  The varsity jumped to a 20-7 lead only to see it slip away for a 25-19 halftime lead.  The Pirates responded in a huge way by outscoring Howell North 30-6 in the second half.  It was a strong defensive effort that contributed to the win.

Gabby Walker led the team with 14 pts and Lauren Willis added 12.  Ellen Weaver led the way with 3 steals and Walker led the team with 8 boards.
